Big ideas, made real, built together.

Founded in 1963, we have been turning parts at our factory in Kurashima, Fuchu-machi, Toyama since 1972. Our shop floor runs the latest robot lines alongside conventional lathes, the roots of manufacturing. We are looking for people to work with us there.

We machine the round parts that support rotation.

Parts we machine

Bearing components and industrial machine parts. Both are round parts turned on lathes, and they go into bearings, presses and construction machinery, machine tools and pumps.

Bearing components

Thrust washers and other bearing components

Components for thrust ball bearings, spherical roller thrust bearings, angular contact ball bearings and ball screw support bearings, plus outer rings for cylindrical roller bearings and others. They are the core of our production.

Industrial machine parts

Bushings and other round machine parts

Bushings for presses and construction machinery, machine tool parts, hydraulic parts, and pump and valve parts. Prototypes and one-offs are machined from a single piece.

  • Loader line

A loader line of single-purpose lathes: the control panel and spindle of the nearest machine, with the same lathes lined up behind it
FIG. 8 Loader line (single-purpose lathes)

Mass production on single-purpose lathe lines

You mass-produce thrust washers on loader lines of single-purpose lathes, in lots of thousands to tens of thousands.

A day at work, and the workplace in numbers.

Day: schedule and figures

An example day for an NC lathe operator. Mornings are 8:00–12:00 and, after the lunch break, afternoons are 13:00–17:00.

A day: NC lathe operator (example)

  1. 8:00

    Morning meeting

Go over the day's machining schedule and the machines you will run.

  2. Setup

Prepare tools, fixtures and programs, then machine the first piece and measure it.

  3. to 12:00

    Machining, sample checks

We carry out all dimensional inspection and control within our own process, and keep records.

  4. 12:00

    Lunch break

    12:00–13:00 (1 hour)

  5. 13:00

    Machining, changeovers

Change tools and programs for the next part number.

  6. to 17:00

    Records and cleanup

Compile the inspection records and prepare the next day's setup.

Our approach

This is how we think at Hayahoshiseiko. Work that anyone can do reliably is left to automation and systems, so that people can focus on designing processes and solving difficult problems.

Principles

The President's message, “For the one part others turned down, 60 years of skill,” is on the Company page in full.

  • 01 People for the work only people can do.Work that anyone can do reliably is left to automation and systems. Our craftspeople concentrate on designing processes and solving difficult problems.
  • 02 Experience, verified by data.We make machine utilization and small losses visible in numbers, so we can guarantee quality and reduce costs at the same time.
  • 03 Across departments, toward one product. We look at the whole, not just our own part, work together, and share the progress of the work with everyone.
  • 04 Trust people, and help them grow. With clear tasks and priorities, we hand over responsibility without fear of failure, and support people who think for themselves and grow.
